![]() ![]() Technique beats power, power beats speed, and speed beats technique (a classic Rock > Paper > Scissors system). ![]() One Piece Odyssey features a turn-based combat system with three different types: Power, Speed, and Technique. Go into the fight and earn as much XP as possible. Not everyone will level up at the same rate, but everyone will remain close to the same level. Also, your entire team gains XP, regardless of who fights. The XP your team earns from fights automatically level them up - you don't hand out upgrade points or anything, all their stats just go up. You won't find camps as often as, say, savepoints, so take advantage of them when you find them. Camps are where you cook meals (usually healing items to use during battle) with Sanji, trade clothes, craft items with Usopp, or check the encyclopedia. ![]() These are places where your crew can light a fire and recharge by having a Party. Create Items Whenever PossibleĪs you roam the world of One Piece Odyssey, you'll occasionally come across Camps. Passive unlock of Nami and Sanji sometime in Chapter 2 main story, and Robin sometime in Chapter 4 main story. Alternatively, you can play as them, making finding these resources much easier. Meanwhile, Nami can detect a lot of raw money on the ground, and Robin can find archeology pieces. Sanji picks up food ingredients for cooking. Robin, Nami, and Sanji all have passives that allow them to detect if there's something they can pick up. Attention to DialoguesĪs you scroll through the maps, watch for your group's sudden insights. It's all too easy to waste time, so enjoy the main story until the game lets you do your own thing, usually at the start of Chapter 3. The result is that you will likely be teleported facing the directions you must go. You will get more side quests, bounty quests and unlock memory links mostly when you finish Memory chapters.īut at the same time, the game will restrict where you can and cannot go in the first few chapters. The game naturally wants you to explore areas much later in the game's storyline. Craft the good stuff while you're at camp, then switch it back to skills when you're done. When you unlock improved crafting resources, place your cubes in these stats while in camp, as this means you can temporarily make better crafts without permanently leaving cubes in those spaces. But, this is important for crafting your team as well. It allows you to power up certain moves before combat. ![]()
